Diet is now calorie in, calorie out. Not counting any exercise. Aiming for 1100 to 1200 calories per day and I am 5 foot 3 inches tall.
Have not gotten below 150 since I was 49 so that is goal 1, then goal 2 is 135.
From a podcast: Dr. Herman says it accordingly, “Find a diet that leaves you completely satisfied with not an excess of calories. Pick a diet with rules, restrictions and guidelines so you are not prompted to overeat. Any diet is essentially a gimmick in the end. Cut carbs, cut fat, cut plants, intermittently fast, go compressed eating window, go vegan. Just implement rules and guidelines so you don’t have constant unfettered access to hyper palatable foods and overeating. Find a diet that leaves you satisfied and happy.”
To calculate BMR, a person uses inches for height, pounds for weight, and years for age in the following formulas:
For men: 66 + (6.2 x weight) + (12.7 x height) – (6.76 x age)
For women: 655.1 + (4.35 x weight) + (4.7 x height) – (4.7 x age)
