Just a little info from vitamin shoppe email today..

In many exercisers’ minds, cardio is still king. But when it comes to torching that layer of fat hiding your abs from view, it’s anything but. In fact, 2015 research from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health shows that, minute-per-minute, strength training is far more effective at fighting abdominal fat compared to cardio.

It is a study of healthy men. Studies of obese people have shown that aerobic exercise is an effective way to lower adiposity. So I guess it depends somewhat of what our goals are and where we are on journey. maybe

I’m thinking that cardio has its place when obese like liv said. However I’m a firm believer that weight training is essential. If you start when obese along with cardio I think you’d gain the most benefit. Then as you get to your goal and want to change things like see your abs then weights are more likely to help. Just my thoughts without going to the link ;).

Exactly peeper. This was solely about reducing fat enough to see abs. The best way for obese people to lose fat should be any way they can consistently.
