After eating roughly 1100 calories per day and putting on weight, I took myself to a registered practicing dietitian yesterday. He said for my height and age and activity level, the calorie count I'm eating should see me lose half a kilo per week, but the mix of macros (protein, carbs and fat) was wrong, and that in his opinion, I am getting too much of some and starving myself of others. He has given me goals to reach each day. I'm starting to tweak the macros from today, increasing my protein within the daily goals he has given me. He's also tweaked my HIIT programme. Will see how this changes things. I feel hopeful that I now may have got to the bottom of my problems. Fingers crossed.
