Hello! 60 yr old clutterbug doing balanced meals to find that healthy food relationship :) Highest wt: 355 (2015), FS Start: 324.6 (Feb 2019) ~ Goal wt: 140 lbs :) Learning to love myself has been quite a journey =>
Sept 2015, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes & put on 4 medications: it was a shock! In prediabetic range for 3 years, A1c has been normal for 4+ years. Now post-menopausal with hypothyroidism. It has been a bumpy road to "find my happy" in mind, body & soul. Chubby kid, Weight Watchers at 12, slightly overweight teen (135 lbs) lead to a lifetime of disordered eating from bulimia to starvation periods to compulsive overeating to Binge Eating Disorder. Bouts of depression & anxiety (stuffed down all feelings with food). Therapy really helped; obesity specialists 2017-18 to address the Binge Eating Disorder & Food Addiction. Still overeat sometimes but rarely have crazy food binges like I did every weekend (very low-cal/low carb Mon-Thurs with excessive workouts; binge Fri-Sat/Sun). Learned not to fear any foods and relax more around food. It's an ongoing process. Success is a daily choice! Eating right & exercising (not my forte), plus organizing my home (with less stuff) is all about living lighter in every aspect! Let's get healthy together! :)
