Got home from vacation. Didn't overeat. Resisted getting fish and chips, something I usually have when at the coast. Hardly any snacking. But we did stop at McDonald's on the drive to Washington and at Arby's on the drive from Washington to Florence, Oregon. No fries at Arby's just the classic roast beef sandwich. It was so nice visiting my niece and her husband and seeing the house they bought last year. They adopted a cat a year ago then 3 kittens! It was so much funny watching the cats play.

glad you had a great visit and sometimes in confined situation we do tend to get on one anothers nerves but at same time I'm like you I would have just wanted to make sure we made it home safe.

Family can be tricky! Usually no filters and all those things that bugged you growing up come right back...I know I can get on my sister's nerves! lol. Glad you had fun at niece's house and the coast up there is beautiful!💜

Thanks Wifey! DP - I had a quarter pounder with cheese AND the fries and a regular coke on the drive to Washington. But didn't have dinner. I kept to just lunch and little breakfast (if any) for most of the trip. We did have one lunch out with my niece and her husband. I had a crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries! But over 5 days it evened out. I stopped having fries after that lunch. Thanks Liv - "survived" is a good way to describe the car rides with my sister! Thanks Ridemariel! Slyone - My sister and I live just a couple blocks away from each other. We only see each other once in awhile. We are fine in small doses. She has just as many issues with me as I have with her. REMCarter - the car ride would have been rough no matter what. If I ever do that drive to Washington again (with someone else) I'll probably break it into 2 days of driving. Serenaallen - My sister got mad when I said I just wanted to make sure I got home. She thinks she's a great driver. Diana - you are right, with family there are no filters. We started fighting like we did as kids. Then we'd calm down and TRY hard to be nice to each other. Washington was beautiful and my niece took us on several nice walks so I got more exercise than I've been getting lately. Lots of water everywhere!
