Fluctuating upwards over the last six weeks, and now fully 10 lbs above my springtime low. OY! I have not been motivated to track, though I do not eat any sugar and rarely any grains, or other starchy veggies. I think I have a cortisol problem, as I sleep terribly (4-5 hours a night). That leaves a lot of hours to feel hungry. I stay in ketosis most of the time, but that is not producing weight loss at this point. I've had a number of courses of anti-biotics in this past year and season, so that may have screwed up my gut biome too. Time to figure out a reset. Any ideas on a cortisol reset?

I've no idea if he's right but Dr Axe suggests the following diet for a reset: switch to a low-glycemic diet, include healthy fats and proteins with every meal, and make sure to get enough fiber and phytonutrients by eating plenty fresh fruits and veggies. Some of the most useful foods for lowering cortisol and stabilizing blood sugar include vegetables; fruits; coconut or olive oil; nuts; seeds; lean proteins like eggs, fish and grass-fed beef; and probiotic foods (like yogurt, kefir or cultured veggies).

Thanks for the feedback, Doobrie. My problem is that I already eat a very low carb/low glycemic diet - and have plateaued on my weight loss anyway. That's the conundrum.

I have been so not motivated. I thought summer would be better. I have come to the conclusion that every time I lose weight, I am good for about a year. Trying to get back on track and to stop giving into my cravings. We can do this. Just need to stick with and and together.
