Just want to mention again that sooo many of the foods in the FS database are so wrong in their nutritional breakdown. If it sounds weird, it more than likely is. I have literally found dozens of entries that are way, way off.

Can you edit any of them? Many of them allow it.

How do you edit? Won't let me on the app. Maybe on the full web version?

I started editing a few of them, but there were just way to many— too labor intensive. If it is an item that I use often, I go to the USDA database and check it and change it or enter the info from the actual package. The government database contains every food sold in the USA— hundreds of thousands of fresh, packaged, meats, etc.

Dreaglist— I don’t often eat packaged foods, but even those I have found to be “off”. The thing that was really striking this time was when I entered a sweet potato and the selections that kept coming up showed a sodium content of 500+. I knew that wasn’t correct so had to go to the .gov site to verify that the value was actually 70. A second example was a Dutch-baby pancake from a specific restaurant. I found calorie listings from 150– to 700+ .the resturaunt did not have a listing on their website. For me, it really makes no difference, but say someone is diabetic and is not diligent in looking at this stuff it could be a serious problem. and it seems that several diet sites that are quoting values from FS. Interesting.
