I made Myer lemon gelato this morning because I have dozens of lemons. My ice cream maker broke so it’s popscicles instead. I’ll see how they turn out. Perfectly portion controlled treat.

Livoo1– once in a while my young friend, THE GENERAL comes over but I have made ice cream and popscicles all my life. Great portion controlled treat. During the summer I fill a flower pot with crushed ice or dry ice and just poke them into the ice stick showing and they last for hours. Everyone loves them. I have lots of popscicles molds and 3 machines ( now 2] so I can simultaneous make several flavors.

THE GENERAL’s favorite popscicles is cucumber lime. Her best friend likes strawberry kiwi, while mine is an espresso fudgescicle. My boyfriend likes plain vanilla and mint chocolate chip. That is why I have 3 machines.

Incredibly easy and you can experiment and control the ingredients. Then there is that slightly healthier version that is basically puréed fruit. Each of the ones shown holds 1/3 cup. The beauty of popscicles is that nobody wolfs theM down like they do an equivelant amount of ice cream. Even with sugar in them it is a limited, portion controlled treat that everyone likes and the kids can help make them.
