My young neighbors had a big yard party for their daughters first birthday. He is Chinese and she is Filipino so all ethnic foods from both cultures. The decoration theme was donuts. they had built a pane-less window that sat on a long table and behind the window were dozens of donuts, eclairs, and pastries of all kinds, Just like you might see behind the front window of a fancy French bakery. Sooo cute. I ate a little bit of EVERYTHING and had a huge raised yeast pastry stuffed with a pastry cream and covered in dark chocolate.it was good but I liked the watermelon and kiwi better, and scrumptious fried chicken drumstick. Back to my preferred WOE tomorrow. Can’t even begin to guess at the ingredient in some of the dishes. And, it doesn't matter. One very enjoyable meal.

Lots of lumpia and several things I didn’t recognize, but tasted terrific. Ooh yes, my favorite red hot lime and chili roasted peanuts that one of their brothers makes. You have to keep eating because when you stop, your lips will be on fire. But so good. A glutton for punishment.

No, didn’t track. Not even possible. Except for the pastry it was fairly harmless food. I like donuts and such but they are not a significant temptation for me. Now the peanuts, watermelon and kiwi is a different story. They sent me home with lots of peanuts. The brother who makes them does it 3-4 times a year and I always get a big bag.
