Had 6 vials of blood drawn today. They told me not to work out, which I didn't but I now have a raging migraine! I'm drinking lots of water but today's eating plan is a no go. I am too nauseous! Ugh!!

Sorry to hear about the migraine. I've never had problems when blood has been drawn other than a bruise when they have a hard time finding a vein. But 6 vials is a lot! Hope you feel better soon

Wow, has this happened before? Each vial is only 2-5ml.

Unhealthydad, I get migraines about once every 3 months. I always start with an occular migraine 1st . If I catch that one early I can prevent a full blown migraine. That didn't happen this time. I had both at same time. I don't like taking a lot of meds so I've tried to stay away from prescription migraine meds. I still have a migraine but it's not as bad as earlier. Couldn't even function before. I was nauseous and had to have lights off etc.

Right— six vials is no more than 1 1/2 ounces. Maybe just coincidence but hydration is good. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Some people get very anxious and stressed before blood draws, needle pricks or donations. That can trigger a migraine.

I appreciate all your suggestions and woke up this morning with just a full headache. I did drink 2 bottles of water before going to have blood drawn. I have bad veins so they always tell me to drink water to plump them up. The place I go is extremely good, in fact I never even felt the prick of needle. When I went to bed last night I still had it pretty bad but woke up this morning with just a full headache. I'll take that! 💜💜

Shirl, thank you. I have a checkup in a week with GP. I have a lot if problems with maintaining vitiam D and vitamin B levels so that was checked, as well as a CBC. I don't expect any other problems. Heart checkup not till Aug but I seem to be doing ok in that area.💜
