Journal de Debbie Cousins, 14 juil. 19

I am SOOO tired of 180! It's very frustrating seeing the scale stay the same when I'm eating only the things I'm supposed to! But, alas, I shall continue! Couldn't swim at the water park yesterday because the pools were packed with people. Ended up sitting in the blazing sun for over an hour before a woman was kind enough to let my blood-red face sit at her table under the umbrella. Planning to go to the pool after lunch today. Don't FEEL like going to the pool, because I'm wiped out from yesterday. Lately, I just haven't had the energy I was having. I'm praying the patient assistance foundation will approve me for the Rexulti.

Patience, patience, it will go down. The heat can really sap your energy, so sitting in the hot sun surely didn't help. Take care of yourself! 💓

Debbie, sometimes the scale just sits there until your body adjusts. Remember you are swimming more so muscle weighs more than fat. Check your measurements.

I went down a pant size while my weight on the scale stayed the same, important to remember the scale doesn't tell the whole story <3

Frequency, agreed the scale is not always the gauge you should be watching. Many changes on this weight loss journey do not appear on a scale. Some of them in body shape and size others are mental challenges to be overcome. so NSV are huge.

It seems that your victory is being faithful to what you know you want to do right now. In that you are winning! I do wonder if you are retaining water from all your activity. Hang in there! You are doing everything right I am sure!

Hey Debbie. Hang in there, woman. I really hope the Rexulti is approved. Adding 1 mg. of it to the 2 other anti-depressants I take made all the difference last year. Usually my meds stop working every so often, so my doctor tries different combinations. I’ve tried so many, and I hate the waiting 4+ weeks to see if such-and-such a dose will work or if it needs to be increased. Luckily, the Rexulti only took 2 weeks to see if it’d work or not, and it’s been good for the past 7 months or so. I’m still praying for you, dear. Be gentle with yourself. 😔🙏🏻🎈

when you're our age, I think the end of weight usually comes off slowly. Is it possible to weigh less often, or to quit weighing altogether? It'll come when it comes, in its own time, and if the scale is driving you nuts, you can divorce it.

My body regularly goes through plateaus even though I’m perfectly on mark for calories, exercise, etc. I’ve been plateaued since June 25 hovering around 169. In the past I’ve plateaued for over a month straight even on a strict diet. I gave up because I let the discouragement and disappointment get to me. It’s good to see that you are set on continuing. This time around my resolve has been iron-clad and I’ve gotten past a 1.5 month plateau and 3 more plateaus and I’ve managed to keep losing weight. (27 lbs since Feb) I know the frustration can really get to you but I just tell myself that my body is doing it’s thing, adjusting, whatever it needs to do, muscle gain slows overall weight loss, etc. ( in the 1.5 mo. Plateau I adjusted what I was eating and my weight loss cont’d. The other plateaus I simply followed the same guidelines for eating and my weight loss cont’d)
