This gain is expected after the parties. I’m back to tracking calories again. I don’t have the will power rn to stick to a strict deficit. I’m trying to get organized. I feel like I’m spinning out 🥺 I’m gone at least 10 hours a day and I come home to a mess everyday 😞 my kids never clean up after themselves unless I bitch at them. I’m so tired of it ☹️

As always "This too shall pass" (sometimes unfortunately). Never forget your 'blessings', in this case your strengths. You have come so far, and done so well! So you go through these 'periods' where you don't live up to your 'expectations'. We are all human, you're just being honest about it haha! Good Luck!

Life does have a way of testing us and pushing us to our limits. This is what I call my “You Can’t Break Me” point. I pray for strength and I pick myself up again. I may be bruised but I won’t let it break me. You’ve got this and a plus... you’ve recognized falling down. Admitting when we’ve fallen takes strength too.

You've got this. Hugs on the mess at home, I know that feeling.

Now the mess at home I know way too well. Toddlers and a baby. I definitely feel your pain on that. Cleaning: 2.5 hours (average), Messing up: a minute or less. 😂 I do try to see the good in things... cleaning burns some calories.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt (on the floor LOL). Take a deep breath - it will be alright. Big hugs to you 🙂. Just remember to be good to yourself when nobody else will (a favorite song of mine by Journey, BTW 😎)!

All you really need is to eat at maintenance, until you are ready to keep going

Try telling them that if they clean they will get something Friday (donuts, pizza, park, something) and if they don’t they will get nothing

I'm so sorry Dawnie - it has to be really tough working those long hours and raising your kids - please try to take care of yourself and hopefully your kids will get involved helping you out. All my best thoughts are with you

I don't know how old your children are, but have you ever tried having a family conference? Sitting down together and talking about the need for responsibly and sharing the work load. Assigning jobs to everyone (with their input), and together deciding on rewards and consequences (perhaps a family outing if all goals are met). Then posting a chart with space to check off jobs done and goals achieved. 🌈🌈🌈

I used to put my son's toy on a "time-out." A few times and that worked great. When he lapsed, time-out again.

No video, TV, cartoons, games, friends over, time at the park. He didn't like that much either.

Ah, motherhood. I’m surprised that our species has survived this long.

Oh honey I’m right there with you. Start charging. For real. Post your prices and stick to it. Picking up the kitchen from them? $10. Putting garbage in the can from in the living room? $15. They’ll start picking up quick. I tell mine- including my other half- I am not cheap. My services are going to cost you! And I make sure that is the case. I can’t stand being treated like a maid. I make sure that these 4 people are fully aware that I have other interests than cleaning up after them. If that means I do only my own laundry, so be it. My guess? You’re too nice. Channel a little bit of KayBuckaroo, and remind them you’re a damn person.

😂😂 I’m definitely too nice, too empathetic, and too much of a push over 😪 It’s not helping my kids or me though. I must change to make them change 😑
