Journal de Nikina70, 12 juin 21

This week has been much better calorie-wise than the quarantine hotel. Considering that I weighed 72.5kg on the Monday morning we left Cape Town almost 3 weeks ago now - that is a tiny bit of progress. I'm looking forward to possibly knocking off another 500g this week.

Still guess-timating without a kitchen scale, but I feel like it's fairly accurate as so many things here have nutritional info on them.

Done quite a bit of walking lately despite the sole of my sandals coming off. Will look for some new ones in the coming week. Also jumped on a trampoline for a bit - still a bit nervous, but quite fun!

No YouTube workouts this week. We are in an apartment above neighbours so I'm weary of making tons of jumping around noise, but that's possibly just an excuse and I'm really just taking a mental break from it.

The week after next we will be in an airbnb with a garden and the weather's been so great so I might be able to do some workouts outside there - but there will be tons of walking too, so possibly can miss the workouts for a bit until I have a proper space for it and can get into a more regular routine.

Thanks little_mermee - yes, this area is beautiful and walking is becoming easier everyday so I'm very happy to be here. I've since found a way to do some more formal exercise as well, but I'll put it in a new post. Hope you're having a great weekend too! 💕

Love your dedication despite the complexity of the past 3 weeks. I would have used it as an excuse to eat badly. There are YouTube exercise videos for those living in apartments-worth a look. Enjoy the sunshine ☀️

Doing great. Walking often expends more energy than some of those home workouts and even lifting at the gym. Highly underrated.

Huge fan of walking! Takes time, but our bodies are just made for it and are happiest when a lot happens I think! You are doing great!
