This morning I did:
Sydney Cummings - 30 Minute Full Body Dumbbell Sculpt Workout! 🔥Burn 305 Calories!*

Quite a good workout and felt like it was moving at a good pace throughout - not alot of rest. I never believe these 'burn 305 calories' statements though because everyone is different so I'm glad she's done away with that in recent years (this one was from 2019).

Haven't walked as much this week, but the days we did get out were lovely. Doing an 8 mile walk tomorrow so that should be lots of fun and burn a few calories as a bonus. Hubby now wants to have an ice-cream every time we go for a walk in the sun, but yesterday I took some grapes instead and they were delicious. Doesn't really count for much when I had peanuts, chocolate, shortbread and turkish delight on top of my healthier choice yoghurt and fruit dessert I usually have in the evenings. Just couldn't control myself this week again, but I tracked it all. I'll save the ice-cream for weekends and try to do away with 'all the things' during the week as well.

So I thankfully got my three YouTube strength workouts done this week for a total of 1h45mins, which I'm happy with. Warmer temperatures and more sunshine definitely do help me both mentally and physically to get up and do things. Having said that - right now, after my shower, all I feel like doing is lying down on my bed again - quite knackered. Maybe evening workouts are the answer for me after all.

Yes, Suma. I try to only have only one piece at a time, but it's tough! We love Aldi's turkish delight chocolate too.

I’ve not tried that one, how many calories per portion? I recently came across the fry’s Turkish delight - nothing like the real deal but delicious. It’s a 185 calories per slice but a decent size x

Never go walking with your wallet! 😆 Gads, I haven't had Turkish Delight in years. Perhaps for the best. Pistachios are pretty good all by themselves.

Suma - the Dairyfine Turkish Delight chocolate at Aldi is 119 cal for 3 blocks, which is 25g. I haven't seen Fry's yet, but I'll keep an eye out for it. 😊👍💕

Suma - I lied - just looked it up and I actually have seen Fry's in supermarkets. I am a cheapskate though so the Aldi one wins out on price even though the filling is a runny consistency and not very much like turkish delight at all, but I still like it.

Great tip JustBananas! I don't think I've had pistachios in ages. My favourite nut will always be the cashew - and peanuts are just cheaper and easier to get hold of so they're our go-to. Hope you're having a great weekend! ☀️💕

There’s a Turkish market in my old neighborhood that sold so, so many flavors and types of Turkish Delight, but 90% of them were make with pistachios.

That sounds amazing JustBananas! I'm hoping to find a shop like that at some point - in the region we live in, but for now if I can get normal turkish delight at the supermarket I'm happy. They're usually just lemon and pomegranate flavour, but they satisfy our cravings. Hubby tried making it himself at one point, but it wasn't so successful.

Fry’s do rose and cherry flavours. I prefer rose. Pomegranate Turkish Delight sounds yummy! Aldi is a little out of the way for me - everyone always raves about them..I wish they delivered. My favourite nut is cashew too. Just reminds me of home and nothing beats roasted cashews in my book!

Yup, roasted cashews are the best!!! Sorry to hear you don't have an Aldi close by, but I think the Fry's one would be about the same. Didn't know they do other flavours as well. I might try the cherry one if I can find it. xxx

Suma, just wondering if you've heard of crystallised ginger - I got some from a health food store when we were looking for dried mango - one of my other favourites. We tried crystallised mango as well and we prefer just dried, but the ginger is something else. Hubby doesn't like it, but it's so strong and I really like it. Just wondered if you've heard of it and if you like it.

The ones that look like candy? I love ginger but I find them a little too strong😊 which surprised me. I’ll have ginger in everything savoury or sweet including tea…ginger tea is quite the thing back home.

Yes, it looks like candy - and how strong it was does surprise me, but I'm still enjoying it. I'll usually have ginger in everything as well. I bought some ground ginger in December meaning to make gingerbread men (which I didn't get around to), so now a 1/4 tsp along with cinnamon is going into my oats most mornings. ;)
